I was mostly interested in this book because my employer is about to undergo a gigantic (over a thousand servers worldwide) upgrade from Windows NT to Windows 2003. Right off the bat (like on first couple of pages) it has a quickie list of tasks in NT and corresponding way of doing it in 2003. So this lets you get started right away.
However, no one just looks up the corresponding method and becomes a guru. You have to have more meat, more substance. The book gives you a drill down on just about every administrative task in later chapters.
Having never used 2003 for any length of time, this book helped me achieve proficiency fairly fast by providing alphabetical references for both CLI and the GUI. It allowed me to lookup things that I knew how to do in NT and quickly find its counterpart in 2003. Very cool, very useful.
And of course, the book has information on the features in 2003 that were not available in either NT or Win2k.
Bottom line, the book delivers exactly what it promises: a top notch quick reference, sure to help you along in your implementations on Windows Server 2003.
